Video-Art

Jacek Ludwig Scarso’s video installations immerse the viewer in theatrical experiences, playfully responding to the environments in which they are projected. Stark, minimalist settings are the backdrops for a visceral form of storytelling, centred in physical and vocal performance. His video works have ranged from large scale multi-channel installation to miniature ones, exhibited in framed monitors. Delving into psychological and behavioural explorations, they show Jacek’s fascination for the politics of gender, the experience of obsessive and intrusive thoughts and the contradictory poetics of sacred iconography.
