The Pecking Order selected for the Aesthetica Prize Future Now Anthology 2021. Two years in a row (following last year’s selection for In Limbo), Jacek’s work features in the anthology and can be found here. In collaboration with AAD London Met, Anise Gallery, AVR London and with scenography by Jelmer Tuinstra, The Pecking Order was Live/VR experience on spatial politics and surveillance, as part of Tate Exchange. Quarantine Treat: during this period of self-isolation, we are making freely available the multichannel film JULIUS, created by Jacek with Elastic Theatre, in collaboration with Savage Mills. Supported by Wellcome Trust and Jerwood Foundation, this work premiered at Spitafields Music Festival in London before an international tour, including a run at Museo MACRO in Rome. MA Public Art & Performance: directed by Jacek at AAD London Met and its first year running, the course already boasts collaborations with Tate Exchange, Museo Ca’ Pesaro in Venice, The Monument in London, the ICA, City of London Corporation, RMIT Melbourne and Museum of Public Space in Bologna. Jacek was recently appointed to the academic rank of Reader in Art & Performance at the AAD at London Metropolitan University, where is is also Deputy Director of CREATURE (Research Centre in Creative Arts, Cultures and Engagement) and lead for the research group PUBLIC-FACE. Find out more.
